GeWeTe To Showcase Cash Handling At EAG

On January 17-19th 2017, thousands of amusements and attractions industry members will make the journey to ExCel London for EAG International and the Visitor Attraction Expo. They will be rewarded with the latest exciting products from more than 300 represented manufacturers, the show’s largest ever educational and seminar programme, plus unparalleled networking at the many events surrounding the show.

GeWeTe has been a strong supporter of EAG and with more than 60,000 machines installed worldwide over a period of 24 years, it’s fair to say that the company will be bringing considerable expertise to the 2017 event.

Anticipating a busy show, Mark Edmundson, GeWeTe Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland commented, “Whilst the main focus in the UK and other European countries for the gaming and amusement sector is the move to TITO, there are still many operators for whom ‘Cash is King’ and likely to remain so for the foreseeable future. With the 2017 introduction of the new £1 coin now on operators’ minds, the GeWeTe machines have the ability to accept and dispense both coins until the old one is withdrawn,” assured Mark.

Many sites, especially 24/7 AGCs, have adopted GeWeTe products to increase on-site security. The company has seen an increasing use of the ‘Account Facility’ which enables staff, through a dedicated PIN protected card, to withdraw money from the GeWeTe for hand pays, refills and floats, avoiding the need to go into the back office or open a safe. In the case of an emergency, there is a facility for staff to send a discreet email, warning on or off-site staff of the threat.

For the gaming and amusement sectors, GeWeTe’s Cash Recycler is the most popular model. The secure cabinet is bristling with operational features, including touchscreen selectable banknote to coin/banknote change out, bulk coin input for banknote output, plus the staff accounts facility for floats, hand pays and refills. Cash Recycler’s PC based technology can deliver full audit reports, including transaction logs.

“With the volume of cash increasing in change machines, the prospect of meeting a range of operational requirements in one secure cabinet has proved very appealing to operators. We look forward to welcoming visitors to stand 450 and discussing just how cost-effective and future-proof our machines can be,” added Mark.
