EAG International and VAE 2017 Turn In A Solid Performance

Exhibitors at the eighth EAG International have reported a strong show, evidenced by high interest levels from buyers and genuine business written during the event.
EAG Chairman Martin Burlin revealed, “During the show I spoke with a large number of exhibitors. They’ve worked hard to deliver an impressive product showcase and they’ve been rewarded.
“Over and over again I’ve received favourable comments about the quality of visitors and their appetite for spending. I can honestly say that the 2017 show has been the most positive in the event’s history.”

The 2017 event featured several new exhibitors, many of whom were surprised and impressed by the extent of the show’s international reach.
Gregory Bacorn, President of Barron Games commented, “This was our first time as an exhibitor and the show has been a great way for us to engage with the European market. We chose the event to debut our World Tour Foosball Table with enclosed playfield and it’s been really well received,” confirmed Gregory.
Link Pendley of Texas-based Valley Dynamo was also pleased, saying, “We’re very happy to return to EAG & VAE after a period of absence. There has been a great traffic flow and we’ve taken firm orders as well as collecting a lot of leads.”

Many of EAG’s exhibitors who have supported the show since its outset also confirmed a buoyant three days. Whitehouse Leisure’s Phil Setter commented: “With the best licences and full marketing support, we make life easy for our customers. The ten staff on our three stands have been occupied with a constant stream of visitors and we’re taking orders.”
Sega Amusements Europe reaped the rewards of a new stand configuration with General Manager Justin Burke saying, “The new layout for our stands has worked well. We’ve had a great three days with a good mix of UK and international visitors. Skill Wall is now mainstream and proving a valuable part of our product offering.”
JNC Sales also had an excellent show with the company’s Gary Newman reporting good sales across a wide range of products, including the new Scooby Doo pusher.
Ryan Davies, Director of Teddy Mountain was also enthusiastic, saying, “This is our third EAG and the best one we’ve ever done. Our new Pegasus and Pony ranges have generated a great reaction. People are now seeking us out; we’ll definitely be back,” promised Ryan.

EAG and VAE’s credentials as a solid, reliable platform for doing business are well-established but there are many other facets to the event. The newly-enlarged seminar and educational programme, produced by BACTA and BALPPA, was well attended and many industry organisations also held their own meetings and events during the three days. The ‘After Hours at EAG’ mixer has become one of the key social events in the industry calendar and was as well-attended as ever.
On the final day of the show, the Veterans’ Lunch was extended to honour those from within the industry who have tirelessly worked to raise funds for charities during 2016.
On the show floor , Berg Toys again added  excitement throughout the three days with a pedal go-kart challenge, raising an impressive £2645 for Help for Heroes.
